Cooking food & consciousness

Posted on Jul 22nd, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou
Rosejasmin

It's early afternoon and just had the honour to make chocolate filling for chocolate cake (made last night) for my 12 year old daughter as she has invited her best friends for a slumber party...I will be slumbering too with one eye/ear in constant vigilance.

Transforming ingredients into a dish is a process that affects consciousness. As it is a creative process in which movements (measuring, stirring, thinking) are all important. It is a process that brings me right down to earth and in unity with 'materials'. I often enjoyed that feeling of cooking as a transformative process and I witnessed it in many other kitchens with my female & male friends while cooking.

Cooking is not a very high priority as so much food comes prepared and the process of transformation that we could undergo through cooking is lost.

My question is: has anybody else witnessed in themselves the effect of preparing food/cooking food as a transformative process to their consciousness?

Poem written in March 2003 - Unfolding consciousness -

Posted on Jul 23rd, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou
  • I walked this earth lonely and scared
  • Abused and abusive
  • Riduculed and hated
  • Loved and lied to
  • Pitied and despised
  • This mask, this face
  • Wasn't mine but forced to wear it i was
  • Because i could not bear the Thruth of my soul,
  • Amitie reelle, pas seulemnt temporelle
  • Des sons de ta voix
  • J' ecoute ton ame
  • Qui respire paisiblement
  • Enlacee dans tes experiences humaines
  • You expose your entire vulnerability
  • To me
  • I am honoured by your simplicity
  • You are real and it's a gift
  • As we unlock the doors
  • Of  each others cage
  • with respect
  • To free your soul
  • to free my soul
  • to face full sun
  • We have each dreamt alone of these moments
  • When we dared to hope
  • When we were lonley and scared
  • But with a Soul alive inside
  • Ready to explode
  • We are all learning a new language
  • Of love and divine connection
  • But simplicity in all its glory
  • is ours to be
  • Its easy...just follow your heart and keep it happy and safe

Enlightenment on one's own or joining/sharing together as one?

Posted on Jul 27th, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou

To u wise ones with my deepest love:

I ask myself the questions:

What use is enlightenment on one's own?
What is the point to shooting up the stars at 90 miles an hour, beatifically floating and no connection to my neighbour who is in pain?

What is samadhi when the washing up isn't done?
How do I influence society/cosmos at large when i trudge thru tons of books on spirituality and yet forget that my neighbour is alone?

What is transcendance when there is no warmth in my heart & i refuse to see people for who they really are: expression of God's love in all their imperfections?

Can I really and truly see past imperfections and touch the Divine in the passerby & offer them a smile from my heart?

Can I really & truly reach God who is within everybody (so visible, so palpable, that there is no mistaking of her/his presence!) and connect and be with them and them with me and share a cup of tea?

Are we afraid to reach out to others in case their enlightenment is better then ours?
Is that really what spirit wants us to do? Quibble over who is better when in Gods heart we'r all equally loved and cared for and its absolute urgent time to join and evolve in unity & peace?

Can anybody tell me?

Seelisberg, Dec 1974

Posted on Jul 27th, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou

In December 1974, i went to live in Switserland for 9 months, together with a group of people. We practised meditation (TM), asanas & pranayama, we partied together, we danced and shouted, we burned incense and went for walks, we ate, prepared food, talked to the locals, ironed sheets, prepared beds for guests, went to lectures in the  evening, listened to tapes, loved and hated each other, had pujas with our superiors before our respective birthdays, made ginormeous cakes and 'blissballs' (i can give u the recipe), we had free massages and got given out to for spending too much money. We lived in a blissfull atmoshphere and it never left us...we wrote poems to each other and I have kept them in a big book which I kept all these years...

This is the first one, to my spanish buddy, i worked with cleaning rooms:

ton aspirante amie,

Martine

Shadow Self

Posted on Jul 28th, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou
Shadow

Image from  http://www.shadowdance.com/shadow/theshadow.html a resource on the web for a more in depth explanation.

What is the 'shadow self'? (Term from Jungian Psychology)

Any part of ourselves that did not develop to its full extend during our upbringing; it did not get the kind of positive response it needed from our environment to grow to its full potential; we go on growing and that part of ourselves because it has not developed shrieks away & goes into a little cupboard or attic or cellar in our being. There it sits twiddling its thumbs until we let it out and give it what it needs to develop and be in line with the rest of our personality.

As this part of ourselves gets hidden in our sub-conscious self, it doesn't get our attention, so it devises sneaky ways to get our attention and be heard!

Sneaky ways for the 'shadow self' to get our attention:

It attract to our personality people who will portray how it feels: if it is needy, it will attract 'needy people' ; so it works by projecting onto others what we have disowned because the response wasn't there. Note the use of the third person 'it' because that is what it is to us 'not me' , 'not part of me' but 'it' over there...

Resource on the web to find/heal our 'shadow self' :

  1. from Robert Burney, http://www.joy2meu.com/  ,

Review: There is so much there and it is so clear; i used it myself for 2 years to recover from an abusive relationship. I don't think he used the word 'shadow self' but he talks about his own and others recovery and it just amounts to the same. 'shadow self' is just a handy way to describe it.

  1. from Chuck &  Lency Spezzano :

http://www.gaia-mind.com/  then click on the 'Try our 2 card reading.

Review on that card tool:brilliant, i used it day after day to help clear al those blockages; hope they are useful for u too!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If ur interested in the account of some of my own struggles by all means peruse the following link. I never thought that i would put that on the net, didn't think anybody would want to read all the gritty bits, but here u are: its as rough as rough got..a human being in all its struggles..for light!

Squiddo_petit_prince

I was looking for the text of 'Le Petit Prince' in French and English (Full text on  http://www.spiritual.com.au/articles/prince/prince_contents.htm ) and came upon this; there is no need for me to add anything to this beautiful introduction from an obliviously enlightened soul on http://www.squidoo.com/lepetitprince ...no email to  invite him to join Zaadz...:(

Before going to bed..

Posted on Jul 23rd, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou

God bless all this happiness and soulwhispering...

Soulwhispering = seeing beyond all appearances and go right to the soul of the person and say: 'Hello u wanna have a clear conversation?' ~ The load on ones shoulders falls right off because we are seen for who we are really - its simplicity itself.

The books are fine and they have their place, they help us to see where we are, where other people have been - but in a day-to-day activity we can only rely on our own feelings, the ones flowing from our authentic being, the genuine one, the simple one, the loving one, the cosy homely one, the tender one, the smiling one...

          Simple really............................

All books, all knowledge dissolve in the smile of innocence, beckoningus to listen with all our heart.

Taking a deep breath.....and closing my eyes

Good nite, universe                   A demain...

Days like this....

Azur_tiled_wall

There are days like this....(Van Morrison...)

....when all is slowing down and we just have to let go for the internal cleansing to take its place,

...when all the pain we had not yet shed is coming thru to fall on the earth, and when i am reminded of my own blog words...and they serve as a guidepost,

...when humility is the only path and am given a spiritual broom to cleanse my inner rooms,

...when we have a community of like-hearted people and we know they are really there both here at Zaadz and in Second Life

...when we walk thru mud and it seems to take forever, but the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel is a reality we know exist,

What 'besouls' me?

Posted on Jul 21st, 2006 by Mizou : Soul Whisperer Mizou
Bloom1

Lunchtime restaurant 'Nude' in Suffolk Street, Dublin near 'Trinity College'

Sitting at the back facing plasma TV -showing the latest Sky News on the Middle East crisis     ~ So, where do I start, now that I have this space to write & say what I until now had inside my being and sometimes, even often, in conversations.~

Who am I? What do I do? What is my level of awareness? How am I with others, in my thoughts, in my actions, in my conversations?

To explain this I have devised this interview with myself but first & for today, I need to explain 'what besouls me' ? I know 'be-souled' does not exist in English as a verb but it exists in Dutch the verb: bezielen.
'Ziel' is soul in Dutch and bezielen means litterally 'that which is at the centre of your soul, that which supports your life-actions ; that which pulls you forward in life; that energy which is the impulse at the center of your being.

Of course, that word & the expression which comes with it: Wat bezielt je? which i just presented as its highest form can mean in day to day language WTFr u doing????

In my view, I give those words and expression its highest meaning and with this ends my first blog in Zaadz and i sincerely hope that this Zaad wilt sprout the proverbial mustard tree.

More tomorrow, good nite to everyone in Zaadz
